What the session is
What is muscle therapy, and how is it different from massage? +
Massage is often about relaxation. Muscle therapy is structured work on a specific problem — pain, restriction, tension. A session runs through heat, deep work, mobilization, stretching and cold in sequence. The goal is not to put you to sleep — it is to leave with real change.
Does it hurt? +
Deep work is felt. We work on a 1–10 pain scale, around 6–7 — you feel it, but you are not gritting your teeth. If anything is too much, you say so and we ease off. We do not work through sharp pain.
How long is a session? +
60 minutes — that includes a short chat at the start, the full protocol sequence, and stretches at the end.
How much does it cost? +
€40 per session. Cash only. No hidden fees. Every type of complaint is the same price — we do not sell "premium packages".

Before you come
Do I need to book? +
Recommended but not required. Walk-ins are welcome when there is a slot. With a WhatsApp booking, there is always time for you.
What should I wear? +
Something comfortable. We work in underwear or shorts and a tank top. The parts we are not working on are covered with a towel.
Should I eat before? +
Yes, but lightly. A snack 1–2 hours before is ideal. Do not arrive hungry — or right after a big meal.
What if I am under medical care? +
Share your diagnosis or treatment before we start. We do not work with acute conditions. For post-surgical recovery or chronic illness — clearance from your doctor is needed.
Where exactly are you located? +

Is there parking? +
On-street parking around the square is free most hours. No blue-zone restrictions in the immediate area. A five-minute walk if things are busy.
What languages do you speak? +
English, Dutch and Bulgarian. A session can run in any of the three. If Greek is easier for you, we can manage — we just go slower.
Can I book for someone else? +
Yes. Message us on WhatsApp with the person's name and complaint. For a first visit we prefer that person to confirm they want to come.

After the session
Will I be sore afterward? +
You may feel "worked" for 24–48 hours — similar to after a good training session. That is normal. Real pain after a session is rare and if it happens, message us — we will help.
When will I feel the difference? +
Most people feel relief immediately. But real change — the kind that holds — comes with 2–3 sessions plus daily stretching.
How often should I come? +
For a chronic issue — every 7–14 days at first, then less often as maintenance. For sports recovery — based on your training schedule. For maintenance — once a month is a good cadence.
What stretches should I do at home? +
We will show you 3–5 stretches at the end of the session, specific to your case. Daily, 5–10 minutes. This is the difference between one-time relief and lasting change.

Payment and practical
Why cash only? +
At one flat price, card processing fees are not worth it — and no "receipt lost in your email" either. Cash, clean and simple. Written receipt on request.
Do you take insurance? +
No. This is a private service — not through Bulgarian NHIF or most Dutch/EU basic insurance. Some private supplementary policies cover manual therapy — check with your insurer, and we can provide a written invoice if needed.
Do I need a doctor's referral? +
No. You come directly — no referral, no intake visit. If you have a serious condition, talk to your doctor first, but the booking itself needs nothing.

When we are not the right choice
Do you work with acute injury? +
No. Acute injuries (last 48–72 hours) need medical assessment, not deep massage.
What if I have heart disease, thrombosis or am pregnant? +
For any significant medical condition, message us first — we will talk through the specific case and whether we can work safely. We do not offer therapy without clearance from your treating physician.
I am on blood thinners. Can I still come? +
Tell us beforehand. We work with lighter pressure and avoid some techniques that would cause bruising. Usually fine — but never without knowing.
Can I just come for relaxation? +
We are not a spa. If you want a light relaxation massage with oils and scented candles — we are not your place. What we do is targeted work on specific problems.
